I’ve been teaching IB Geography for 9 years, mostly with students taking HL and needing sharper case studies for Paper 1 and Paper 2. I spend a lot of time on the IA because that is where small mistakes in sampling, maps or evaluation can cost easy marks. My own favourite areas are global resource consumption and urban environments, so I tend to bring plenty of current examples into lessons and link them back to command terms.

Hi, I’m an IB Geography tutor who works mainly with students who like the subject but feel swamped by the syllabus. I’ve tutored HL and SL for 6 years and know the common stress points: option units, data response questions and making the IA sound like proper geography rather than a long report. I’m quite direct in lessons, but friendly, and I usually set short tasks between sessions so progress is easy to spot.

I currently teach IB Geography and have marked internal assessments for my own school department for several years.
